    Keith & Drew’s Corner — April 2020

These are unprecedented times for everyone and a reminder how quickly things can change.  We want to first share our thoughts and prayers for those of you being affected by this virus whether it’s through financial or personal loss.  We want to ‘Thank’ all our first responders and their families as they work tirelessly and risk their own safety for the safety of our country.  We understand that real estate may not be at the top of your priority list, but as some people struggle financially or with the loss of family member, selling or buying a home may be what gets them through a tough time.  So with that said, we offer our assistance in ANY WAY that we can during this unprecedented time and want you to know we are here.  The Keith Beatty Team been here through recessions, storms, market collapses and market changes; we will be here during and after this pandemic as well.

The ‘Stay-at-home’ order by the Governor has really brought new business to a near stop.  However we continue to write some new contracts, work-through our existing contracts and close properties each day.  The lenders, attorneys and courthouse are all operating on limited staff or by ‘Appointment-only’ scenarios, but we are getting things done.  Technology allows us to communicate, sign documents, record deeds and take virtual or video tours of our listings.  There are many indicators that since this crisis was not caused by the mortgage or real estate industry that it will not have a tremendous impact on home values and the market.  Construction continues and the demand continues to grow.  It is important that if you are in the market to buy a home right now that you are in contact with your lender to be sure approvals are still valid. If you are planning to sell your home, now is a good time to get it out there online for people to see, waiting until this is over may put you in mix of many other sellers trying to get their homes on the market at the same time.  Whatever your scenario happens to be, we hope you’ll allow us to help advise and guide you through this unprecedented time.

Be safe, follow the guidelines given to you by your health officials and we’ll get through this together!  We hope you’re able to use this time for good — catch up on a book, spend time with your immediate family and get those chores around the house completed in time for summer!

Wishing you all the best, have a Happy Easter and a healthy April!
