April was a little on the cool side for weather this year, but a few of those warm days had us yearning for time on the beach, boat rides and the spring kickoff of social events! It’s a bit like Groundhog Day, but with hard work from our health care workers, perfecting the art of working online and continuing to make the right decisions for ourselves — we’ll have this in our rearview soon! Hard to believe it, but the irony was not lost that Cinco de Mayo came on Taco Tuesday and was shut down by a virus named “Corona!” We crack ourselves up 😉
The Keith Beatty Team and many others in the real estate and construction industry are working hard to place people in homes, selling their homes and improving the quality of life in a safe way! We saw a spike in activity late in April as the weather warmed and we were able to put the right safety measures in place. Showings now consist of gloves, masks and lots and lots of sanitizer, but we’re making it happen and the marketing is stabilizing. In fact, the new home industry is booming! Our team continues to meet and attend video conferences for training, education and regular market updates so that we’ll be ready for you when you need us.
We are very thankful that our team was able to help 55 families in the month of April! One trend that we have seen in this spring market is the lack of good inventory, but our builders are working hard to get more homes on the ground. However, this will be a challenge if you intend to make a purchase in the next 6 months, so we strongly urge all of our clients to get their finances in order. Begin your search early by contacting our dedicated and knowledgeable buyer’s agents today so they can be on the hunt for a property that will fit your desired needs. We have seen multiple offer scenarios with 6 or more potential buyers when a desirable property hits the market and it’s best to be prepared!
The governor has allowed us to enter ‘Phase 1’ of reopening our state and it appears to be going well so far. If you live outside of the area, travel may be difficult but we’re here to support you with our user-friendly websites and video property walk-throughs. Some hotels are opening their doors with limited capacity, so if you can make it here safely, we’ll be happy to help you find these locations. We want to continue supporting our local business owners and they are ready to serve you.
