    There is no better way to get into the holiday spirit than by giving to a worthy a cause. So for those in the Wilmington, NC area, enjoy a fun evening of food and drinks all while funding the Cape Fear Literacy Council at the special holiday event: The 12 Drinks of Christmas.

    All proceeds from ticket and drink sales will go to benefit this non-profit organization that works to help adults struggling with literacy reach their goals. So come on out to the Brooklyn Arts Center on December 13th to enjoy a cocktail tasting and support the CFLC.

    Drinks

    Those that attend the 12 Drinks of Christmas event will receive a small portion of 12 unique seasonal cocktails to taste. Each cocktail is created by one of 12 select bars in Wilmington, NC that will be featured at the event. Make sure to get to the event early, however, as the tasting of these cocktails will end at 9 p.m., followed by a cash bar.

    Food

    To make the night even merrier, your ticket will also include heavy appetizers by Canape and donuts by Nine Bakery and Lounge. Port City Java will also sponsor a lounge and coffee bar that will be open throughout the event.

    Event Information

    The event will be held on Friday, December 13th, 2013 at the Brooklyn Arts Center, 516 N 4th Street, Wilmington, NC. Doors to the event open at 7 p.m. The cocktail tasting will last until 9 p.m., with a cash bar to follow. The event will end around 12 a.m. Only those over 21 years of age will be allowed to attend the event.

    Tickets

    Tickets cost 25 dollars and are available for early purchase online until the day of the event. They can also be purchased on at the door for 30 dollars.

    Cape Fear Literacy Council

    All proceeds from the event will go to the Cape Fear Literacy Council. This is a non-profit organization run by volunteers that provides individualized literacy services to adults in the Cape Fear region. For over 25 years, they have worked to recruit and train tutors who, in turn, have volunteered their time to help over 3,500 adult learners reach their potential.
