The delightful Shore Acres neighborhood is situated in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. The town is located in the southeastern portion of the state, just south of Figure Eight Island. Shore Acres is a very suitable town for both families and retirees. The primary local attraction is the beach itself, offering residents a wide range of fun activities. Architecture
A lot of the waterfront cottages in Wrightsville Beach have been recently renovated. Some date back as far as the 1890s, having been meticulously preserved by generations of local residents. There are also many newer homes in the area, most of which are designed and constructed in a fashion that compliments and matches the older existing homes.

Due to the beauty of the coastline of Wrightsville Beach, tourism in the area is quite robust. The beach-line hosts numerous hotels, condos, and vacation homes, as well as numerous shopping facilities. Many of the businesses in the town are heavily tied to the tourism industry, which in turn provide local residents of the town with a range of tourism related employment opportunities. During peak summer months you can also find many organized beach events, such as small surfing contests, beach volleyball tournaments, kite flying contests, and more. Most of the local residents participate in theses events.
